Cashless parking comes to Croydon |
10th Dec 2010 |
|
From today (10 December), drivers in Croydon can use their mobile phone and a credit or debit card to pay for their parking. Cashless parking is being offered in car parks as an alternative to pay-and-display payments with cash.
The RingGo service is being offered in 6 car parks around the Borough - Factory Lane in Croydon, Belgrave Road in South Norwood, Garnet Road in Thornton Heath, Purley Multi-Storey, East Croydon Station and Reedham Station in Coulsden. Other car parks in the Borough will be offering one of two alternative phone parking suppliers.
The addition of RingGo means that the service is now offered in a total of 11 London Boroughs, including Croydon's neighbouring Boroughs of Bromley and Sutton.
