RingGo Introduces New Parking Payments for the National Trust |

From today (14 Sep), motorists visiting eight National Trust countryside locations in the Surrey Hills can use RingGo to pay for their parking. The service is being used by the Trust as an alternative option to coins in five existing pay and display car parks in Surrey; and as the exclusive method of payment in three others.
National Trust members and volunteers continue to enjoy free parking at all the sites, so payments are only required by non-members. A charge of between £2 and £3 is being made for each visit, depending on the particular site. The revenue generated will be used by the National Trust to contribute towards the upkeep of the area.
Harry Clarke, Commercial Director for RingGo comments. "One of the major benefits of RingGo is that relatively little investment is required to introduce the solution, especially when compared with the fairly substantial costs of payment machines and on-going cash collections. This makes phone parking particularly suitable for places, like some of these National Trust sites, where parking tariffs haven't previously been in force.
"Whether provided as an alternative payment option, or as a standalone service, though, our aim is for RingGo to offer parking operators a quick and easy way to collect digital payments and we are particularly pleased to be supporting the National Trust, in doing this."
