Cobalt Telephone Technologies today (18 Aug) launches its new, upgraded
RingGo iPhone App. Available to download free of charge, through either
an iPhone or the iTunes Apple Store, this latest version gives users
more control over their account details and speeds up payment.
Main features of RingGo iPhone app version 2.0:
- RingGo
Xpress users can now locate and pay for their parking directly through
the application, rather than using the normal RingGo interactive phone
system
- Standard RingGo users can trial this service for a limited period too
- A new RingGo Account Management screen allows users to update their name or email address
- Motorists can change or add to their stored vehicle details, speeding up the payment process, even when using a different car
- The RingGo history page gives users up to a week's worth of data, showing where and when the motorist has parked previously
- Fully compatible with the Apple iPad and providing high resolution images optimised for the latest iPhone 4
As
with all Cobalt's services, payment security is a prime consideration.
To comply with Cobalt's PCI DSS Tier 1 accreditation, the first-time
RingGo iPhone user provides credit or debit card details either through
Cobalt's secure website, or via the standard IVR service. After this,
the information automatically transfers to the iPhone payment screen
with just the last four digits displayed, enabling users to quickly and
easily make secure payment by entering the card's 3-digit security code.
Cobalt's
Chief Executive Officer, Joanna Miller, says of the latest release: "We
are obviously pleased to be launching a new version of our iPhone
application, with so many additional features. Being able to park
quickly and pay securely via the application has been our main focus,
but being able to amend or delete vehicles has been a popular request
from our customers too.
"Our aim for RingGo has always been to
make life simpler - and now, no matter how you want to pay - by iPhone,
mobile web browser, online, text or IVR - there's an option that suits
everyone."
