At noon today (17 October) Maria Miller, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Basingstoke, formally opened the new RingGo customer help facility at Cobalt Telephone Technologies' headquarters, in Basingstoke.
RingGo is the UK's leading mobile phone parking brand and the new customer care desk is testament to the explosive growth that this motorist-friendly technology is enjoying. During 2008 many more local authority and private car parks have offered the service, which, in combination with a rising public preference for this convenient means of payment, has led to a rapid increase in the number of people using the phone parking service.
The investment in this new facility underlines RingGo's keen commitment to ensure these individuals continue to be served as efficiently and effectively as possible.
"Customer care has played a crucial role in RingGo's market-leading position" says Harry Clarke, commercial director for Cobalt Telephone Technologies. "Well over 90% per cent of our customers park their car quickly and easily by using the automated voice recognition system - a figure which represents a great level of service. But for anyone that isn't entirely confident with the technology, first time users for example, it is important and reassuring to know that the call will be swiftly transferred to one of my colleagues."
"We are obviously delighted that RingGo is growing so well, but in many ways that simply challenges us to ensure we maintain the highest levels of service that our customers have come to expect. Our new help desk facility is a key part in delivering this, both now and into the future."
"Maria Miller MP is of course widely known as a keen supporter of local enterprise. Given her own particular professional background in marketing consultancy, Maria is our ideal choice to carry out this opening ceremony for us and we are all thrilled that she has joined us for this auspicious occasion today."
