From 15 April 2011, motorists parking in Southwark will pay less if they use RingGo pay by phone parking than if they use coins at a machine.  Southwark Council is the first local authority to offer an across the board price differential of this kind, and is making the change to encourage even more people to pay for their parking by phone.

UK mobile payments provider, RingGo, is honoured tonight to have been chosen for a third time to be a recipient of a prestigious and nationally acclaimed British Parking Award in the face of stiff competition.  The innovative and fast growing company won the Marketing category with its entry, "Against the odds - from underdog to brand winner", a submission which described the three year communications programme by which, from 2007 to 2010 RingGo moved from occupying second place in the UK mobile parking market, to clear number one.
A statement has today been issued by RingGo.  It comprehensively denies claims put forward to the motoring public that the recently announced intent of APCOA to withdraw RingGo from car parks which it manages was triggered  "because of a significant increase in call charges proposed by Cobalt, (the provider of RingGo)".  Click here to read more.
