From today (20 November ) drivers in Dorchester can pay for their parking using just their mobile phone and a credit or debit card.  RingGo cashless parking is rolling out in West Dorset District Council's long and short stay car parks in Dorchester.
Councils, rail operators and other car park providers across the UK are ditching smartcard and scratchcard parking schemes in favour of streamlined, paperless RingGo.

Woking Council in Surrey has introduced RingGo into Heathside Crescent Car Park from today (Tuesday 22 September 2009).  This is the first in a programme of introductions due to take place in car parks across the Borough during the coming month.  RingGo is already offered by South West Trains at Woking's station car parks.
Motorists parking in Keswick car parks owned by Allerdale Borough Council are being offered a quicker and more convenient way to pay for parking - by phone, using their credit or debit card.

From today, motorists parking in Tunbridge Wells Borough Council owned car parks will have a new and more convenient way of paying for parking - by phone.
A new payment system for match day parking in the Trafford Park Village area is being introduced with a reduced cost for motorists.  Football fans and other visitors will now be able to pay on the spot with a credit or debit card using a pay-by-phone service provided by RingGo.
Bournemouth Borough Council has become the first local authority in the UK to offer "RingGo parking permits" - an extension of the UK's leading phone parking service.  The permits allow residents and visitors to purchase longer-term parking at a reduced fee and the service has been rolled out in time for the key holiday season.
