From this week, drivers parking in Scarborough Borough Council owned car parks, will have a quicker and more convenient way to pay for parking - by mobile phone, using their debit or credit card.  The cashless payment system, 'RingGo', will go live on Tuesday 16 June in council car parks across the borough.

The frustration of having no change to pay for parking or being penalised for running late could be a thing of the past in Suffolk Coastal, with people now able to pay for parking by credit or debit card using their mobile phones.

Motorists parking in Torridge District Council's car parks will soon have a quicker and more convenient way of paying for parking - by phone, using their credit or debit card.  Working in partnership with RingGo, the council will be offering the service from Monday 22nd June, in all its car parks throughout the District.
From today (9 June), finance directors, fleet managers, accounts departments and employees can wave goodbye to hours of expenses claims paperwork with the launch of RingGo Corporate.  Companies signing up to the service will enable employees to pay for parking without cash at more than 1200 sites across the UK on a business-provided RingGo account.
Dover launches pay by phone parking
An innovative new system, which allows motorists to pay for parking with their mobile phones using their debit or credit cards, is launched in Dover District Council car parks this week. The scheme - which is the first operated by a Local Authority in Kent - goes live on Thursday (11 June).
Over 7,000 parking spaces a month in Oxford City Council car parks have been paid using the RingGo service.  The service was launched a year ago when just under 1,500 parking spaces a month were being paid for by phone.
Reigate-Banstead roll out
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council becomes the first local authority in Surrey to offer RingGo mobile phone parking payments when the new system starts on Monday, 18 May. 
From today (Monday 11th May) in North Devon, you can pay for parking with just a quick call on your mobile phone.  North Devon Council is launching the "RingGo" cashless parking service which allows motorists to charge parking to their credit or debit card by making a short, local telephone call.
Following a recent public consultation in Richmond upon Thames Carbon-Metered parking would appear to be moving a step closer in South West London.

RingGo today becomes the UK's clear number one parking payment system for local authorities - with Dover signing up as the 30th council to offer RingGo payment, following Reigate-Banstead and Scarborough (pictured), who have also announced at Parkex.
