Nick Lester's long-championed vision of a single number for phone parking across London is finally becoming reality.  Five years after a single number was originally mooted, almost two thirds of the phone parking coverage within London is accessed by a single phone number - 020 3046 0010.
Cornwall today (3 June) becomes the first unitary county in the UK to offer phone parking across its entirety, as RingGo rolls out in all council-operated car parks.  The move follows the merging of six local authority districts into a single unitary County and builds on RingGo's comprehensive presence in the south west.
Cobalt Telephone Technologies, parent company of the UK's leading cashless parking service, RingGo, has been honoured by the Mayor of Basingstoke, Councillor Brian Gurden, as he singled out the company to receive the 2009/10 Mayor's Award to Business, in recognition of the contribution the company has made to life in Basingstoke.  The ceremony took place as part of the Annual Council meeting, on Thursday, 20 May 2010, in Basingstoke Council Chambers.Mayor of Basingstoke award
BromleythumbnailLondon's biggest Borough - the London Borough of Bromley - is offering RingGo cashless parking for all on and off-street parking, excluding the multi-storey car parks in Bromley Town Centre.  RingGo's parent company, Cobalt Telephone Technologies, won the contract following a tough tender process.  A trial by an alternative supplier has been operating in one area of the Borough which will now be replaced.
An innovative new payment method is being introduced for Portsmouth City Council's park and ride scheme.  From today (15 May), motorists parking at the Lakeside North Harbour site, can use the RingGo park-and-ride service to pay a combined £2.80 fee per car, using just their mobile phone and a credit or debit card.  The payment system is the first of its kind in the UK.
It is now possible to pay to park in Epping Forest District Council's Car Parks, even if you have no change available as the cashless payment system, RingGo, is now in operation across the district.  Payment can be made by phone, using a debit or credit card. 
An innovative new service to save motorists time and hassle when parking their cars has been launched in North Hertfordshire.
A groundbreaking initiative to link parking tariffs to vehicles' CO2 emissions has secured the 2010 British Parking Environment Award for Richmond Council and Cobalt Telephone Technologies. The world's first Carbon-Based Parking Tariff was launched by the Council using RingGo cashless parking technology.
RingGo further strengthens its position as leader of cashless parking provider for the UK's local authorities as it signs up another two councils at Parkex 2010.
Passengers on First Great Western trains will be able to sit back, relax and access on-train entertainment services with a single phone call to the RingGo pay-by-phone service from today (1 March).
